Two earlier companies founded by this team, The Exocom Group and Alacris Inc., were acquired by Manitoba Telecom Services (MTS) and Microsoft respectively, where their certificate management product became a foundation for Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM).

President and CEO
As co-founder, President and CEO of Avaleris, Ron provides leadership to the management team in establishing the strategic direction of the company. Immediately prior to Avaleris, Ron was the founder, President and CEO of Alacris Inc., the developer of the idNexus Digital Certificate and Smart Card Management System acquired by Microsoft in 2005. Prior to Alacris, Ron served as the founder, President and CEO of The Exocom Group, a company providing IT professional services and solutions, which was acquired by Manitoba Telecom Service (MTS) in 2001. Ron holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
Vice President, Business Development & Client Success
As a co-founder and Vice President of Business Development & Client Success for Avaleris, Anita leads the sales and account management activities of the company. Prior to Avaleris, Anita was a co-founder and member of the management team at Alacris Inc., where she was responsible for all global sales and account management activities. Earlier in her career, Anita held a number of executive positions within The Exocom Group in the areas of Finance and Human Resources. Anita holds a number of certificates in Human Resource Management and a Master of Business Administration.
Vice President, CyberSecurity & Emerging Technologies
Hugh, a co-founder of Avaleris, serves as Vice-President overseeing the delivery of Avaleris’ IT Security and Emerging Technologies. Prior to Avaleris, Hugh was the Director of IT Security Services for Allstream Inc. Through the years, Hugh has acquired technical expertise that includes Identity Management, IT Security, Network Architecture, Internetworking, and Enterprise Management. Together, these proficiencies are channeled towards continually refining Avaleris’ high level consulting services and hands-on solution implementations. Hugh is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from Carleton University.
Vice President, Hybrid Identity & CyberSecurity Solutions
Marc, a co-founder of Avaleris and Vice President, Identity & Access Solutions, is responsible for the delivery of Avaleris’ Identity solutions, related service offerings and the ultimate satisfaction of clients. Prior to Avaleris, Marc served as a Product Manager for Alacris Inc. During that time, he oversaw the development of the idNexus product, a digital certificate and smart card management system developed for the [Microsoft and] Entrust Certificate Authorities and deployed globally. Earlier in his career, Marc worked as a Senior Consultant and Developer for the Exocom Group, a Professional Services and IT Security Integration company. Marc is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds a Bachelor of Science from Lakehead University.
Vice President, Service Delivery and Resource Allocation
As the Vice President, Service Delivery and Resource Allocation, John is responsible for creating and maintaining an exceptional services experience for all our clients. John is a proven professional services leader with over 20 years of experience developing services offerings and solutions designed to deliver meaningful business value. His past experience includes progressive professional services leadership positions at Accenture, IBM, and Halogen Software, where he developed a comprehensive skill set dedicated to driving successful client outcomes. John holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University, specializing in Operations Research.

As Director of Human Resources, Lysanne is responsible for building a model workplace environment where employees are encouraged and supported at every stage of their career with Avaleris. By implementing human resource management strategies designed to attract, recruit, and retain a motivated and high performing workforce, Lysanne plays a vital role in contributing to the company’s growth. She further contributes to the company’s strength by directing well managed employee benefits, learning and development, and employee relations programs. Lysanne is an affiliate of the Human Resources Professional Association and holds a certificate in Human Resources Management from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University.
