Identity in Government can cover a wide range of scenarios from internal department deployments to citizen facing identity projects. These kinds of projects are happening across the world with many Governments such as the US Government, European Governments and Asian Governments making significant progress. Avaleris has worked with the US Government, Canadian Government and the UK Government in a variety of Identity Management projects and initiatives.

This includes experience with the US Government initiatives around Homeland Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) which is focused on providing a smart card to every government worker and contractor. This initiative has produced standards such as FIPS 201 that will play a key role in these large scale deployments.
