Avaleris Appoints Conrad Bayer as Senior Vice President of IDA Strategy
Ottawa, November 19, 2007 - Avaleris® Inc., a global provider of Identity Assurance professional services and integrated identity lifecycle management solutions, today announced the appointment of Conrad Bayer as Senior Vice President of IDA Strategy. In this role, Conrad will provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to both Avaleris and its customers in the enterprise Identity Management space -- further extending Avaleris’ ability to assist our customers in the strategic planning and implementation of Identity Management solutions.
Conrad Bayer brings more than 13 years of product / services innovation experience, largely in the development of enterprise security software in the Identity space -- spanning product strategy, product team management and strategic customer advisory roles. Conrad joins the Avaleris team from Microsoft’s corporate Connected Identity & Directory Division located in Redmond, Washington.
During his time at Microsoft, Conrad held several roles including Group Program Manager, leading the Credential Management Engineering Team within Windows Security responsible for bringing Microsoft’s Certificate Lifecycle Manager (CLM) product to market as ILM 2007 and most recently, as an Identity Architect in Microsoft’s Identity Strategy Group. Prior to his tenure at Microsoft, Conrad was a co-founder of Alacris -- the original developers of idNexus (the predecessor to CLM) -- and held the role of Vice President and Chief Technology Officer from the company’s inception in 1999 through its acquisition by Microsoft in late 2005.

Conrad holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Computing and Information Science from Queen’s University.
