Avaleris Appoints Anton Ovechkin as Chief Security Advisor

Ottawa, April 19, 2007 - Avaleris® Inc., a global provider of Identity Assurance professional services and integrated smart card / digital certificate based identity lifecycle management solutions, today announced the appointment of Anton Ovechkin as Chief Security Advisor. In this role, Mr. Ovechkin is responsible for providing strategic guidance and technical architecture oversight relative to Avaleris’ service offerings in the area of Identity Management infrastructure solutions.

Anton Ovechkin brings more than 12 years of software engineering experience, largely in the area of enterprise public key infrastructure (PKI) based security solutions, spanning software development, technical leadership and product management roles. Anton joins the Avaleris team from the Windows Security group at Microsoft Corporation located in Redmond, Washington, where he held the role of Lead Development Manager for Microsoft’s Certificate Lifecycle Manager product - an integrated smart card & digital certificate lifecycle management system acquired from Alacris Inc. in late 2005 - and subsequently released in Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) 2007. Prior to his tenure at Microsoft, Anton spent 6 years at Alacris as Chief Architect and Product Manager for idNexus - the predecessor to Microsoft Certificate Lifecycle Manager - and played an instrumental role in the product’s success and implementation at over 25 multinational enterprise customers in North America and Europe.

Mr. Ovechkin holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics (with Highest Honors) from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
