Security Consultant / Developer

This role will support the deployment of mission critical Identity Management systems by way of integration and enhanced functionality of proven identification and verification solutions.

The responsibilities and challenges of this role would encompass:

• Working closely with and supporting the sales team, including: presenting Avaleris service offerings to prospective customers; conference calls; site visits; customer presentations; technical evaluations; and follow-up on all customer related items;
• Participation in the gathering and analysis of client requirements;
• Design, development and deployment of Identity related solutions as it directly relates to a client’s requirements;
• Installation and configuration of Identity products / technologies and resolution of related customer support issues;
• Working as a technical resource to identify, replicate and resolve difficult technical issues that lie within the diverse realms of networking, network security, applications, operating systems and the often complicated nature of the customer relationship;
• Proficiently manage customer situations and set customer expectations appropriately,
  creating resolution plans as necessary;
• Solid commitment to providing superior customer relationships to all Avaleris clients.

Required skills and competencies of this role would entail:

• Previous experience working directly with enterprise customers utilizing complex software
  and network environments;
• Ability to interpret potential opportunities to provide additional value within their current engagements as well as evangelize Avaleris’ service offerings to prospective customers;
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and issue recognition skills;
• Excellent business communication skills (oral and written);
• Highly professional representation of Avaleris in a range of customer situations;
• Strong sense of commitment to high-quality deliverables.

Knowledge in the following areas would be considered as assets only:

• IT Security (preferably with Microsoft or security-related certifications);
• Identity Solutions – developing Identity solutions within Windows centric enterprise environments (Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, Exchange and integration with existing applications and systems within the client’s IT infrastructure);
• Understanding of Entrust PKI, smart cards, Windows Server 2003, Active Directory,
  MIIS and LDAP;
• Development experience in .Net, SQL, ASP and C#;
• Previous experience supporting customers with complex software and network environments;
• Knowledge of Visual Source Safe is desirable.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two to three years relevant industry experience;
• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, a relevant field or equivalent
  work-related experience;
• Technical Certifications: MCSE or equivalent is desirable.
