Headquartered in Ottawa, Canada, Avaleris was founded by a management team with significant experience in providing professional services, integrated solutions and developing world leading software products in the areas of IT Security and Identity Management solutions.

The founders of Avaleris had previously founded The Exocom Group, a company providing IT Security Services, and Alacris Inc., the developer of idNexus, a Digital Certificate and Smart Card Management System, for the Microsoft and Entrust Certificate Authorities which was acquired by Microsoft in 2005. Microsoft subsequently released the idNexus Management System as a formal Microsoft product offering – branded Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) 2007 – providing the foundation for Microsoft’s Strong Authentication and Credential Lifecycle Management strategy.

As Identity product technologies continue to evolve – they present new and innovative opportunities for organizations to deploy stronger and more consolidated Identity Management solutions across the enterprise. The rate of adoption of these technologies is expected to increase exponentially.
